Mysteries

Fifth grade is learning about mysteries. They are writing stories based off a picture in the book, “The Mysteries of Harris Burdick”. Then they are drawing the before and the after, so they have the full story in sequence.

Mysteries of Harris Burdick – Fifth grade is learning about mysteries. They are writing stories based off a picture in the book, “The Mysteries of Harris Burdick”. Then they are drawing the before and after of the story, so that in the end they will have the full story in sequential order.

The steps were rearranged for the class after started the lesson so after drawing rough drafts and writing rough drafts the fifth graders learned about value charts/scales and did one of their own. Here are a couple examples that were completed during the class:

Next the fifth graders will use what they have learned from the value charts/scales to shade in their final drawings.
