Identity Through Clay Self Portraits

Indentity Through Clay Self Portraits – First graders are learning about moods and emotions. They first watched Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Then they came up with a mood they wanted to portray with their facial expressions. For the first class they looked in mirrors and drew their faces portraying the mood they chose. The second class they made the same face with clay and the final class was about painting their clay faces with tempera paints .
